Daily Cleansing + Exfoliation Protocol:

Wet hands and face with lukewarm water - avoid hot water, which disrupts the skin barrier and can exacerbate redness in acne-prone or sensitive skin.
Dispense a small amount (roughly the size of a nickel) onto fingertips and emulsify between palms before applying to the face in gentle, circular motions. The circular motion activates the micro-exfoliating particles and encourages lymphatic movement.
Massage for 60 seconds minimum - resist the urge to rush. The micro-exfoliants need adequate contact time with the skin surface to effectively loosen dead cell buildup and clear congestion.
Focus on problem zones: Spend extra time on the T-zone, chin, and any areas of active congestion or blemishes. The antimicrobial properties of honey are most effective with sustained contact.
Rinse thoroughly with cool or lukewarm water - cool water helps close pores post-cleanse and reduces post-wash redness.
Frequency: Use once daily - morning is ideal to remove overnight sebum buildup and prep skin for serums and SPF. If using in the evening, follow with a targeted treatment serum and moisturizer to maximize overnight repair.
Double cleanse hack: In the PM, use an oil-based cleanser first to dissolve SPF and makeup, then follow with this cleanser as the second step to deliver its exfoliating and brightening benefits on fully clean skin.
Synergy tip: Follow with a hydrating toner or essence to replenish moisture immediately post-cleanse, then layer a niacinamide or azelaic acid serum to extend the blemish-clarifying benefits throughout the day.
Caution: Do not use on the same day as a dedicated chemical exfoliant (AHA/BHA peel or toner) to avoid over-exfoliation. Alternate days if using both in your routine.
