The Outset

Barrier-first skincare focused on botanical hydration and resilience.

The Outset is a built for those whose sensitive skin doesn't tolerate aggressive formulas. Founded by Scarlett Johansson and Kate Foster, the brand's approach centres on restoring the skin barrier before addressing any visible concerns, using its proprietary Hyaluroset™ Complex — a plant-based humectant derived from the Cassia angustifolia flower — as a gentler, more skin-compatible alternative to synthetic Hyaluronic Acid.

The range targets fine lines, sensitivity, and uneven texture through long-term barrier strengthening rather than surface-level correction.
