The protection step is a full-size mineral tinted moisturizer with SPF 30. It gives broad-spectrum coverage, a touch of tint to even out the look of skin tone, and everyday hydration in one layer.

Morning (daily):
Cleanse and pat skin dry.
Apply the serum to face and neck while skin is still slightly damp, which helps with absorption and comfort. Let it settle for about a minute.
Finish with the tinted SPF 30 moisturizer. Apply it evenly across the face and neck, and blend well at the jawline and hairline.
Reapply sunscreen about every two hours when outdoors, and after swimming or sweating.
Evening (optional):
The serum can be used once or twice daily. If you are building up use, start with mornings, then add evenings once your skin feels comfortable.
Follow it with a night cream or repair moisturizer.
Tips:
Synergy: Vitamin C is most useful in the morning, because antioxidants help defend skin against environmental stress, and sunscreen should always be the final step.
Adding actives: If you also use retinol or exfoliating acids, keep them to separate nights or use them in the evening, and let your skin adjust.
Tint: The tinted formula gives a light, even finish. A small amount goes a long way, so start light and build.
Patch test: Test on a small area first if your skin is sensitive.
